Middle East’s first-ever professional baseball park in Dubai

Dubai now has the first professional baseball park in the Middle East. The Sevens sports and entertainment complex on Al-Ain Road in Dubai is home to the 6,500-seat stadium.

The ballpark is the only professional baseball field in a more than 10,000-kilometer area that stretches from Morocco to Bangladesh, India, and several other nations in Southwest Asia.

It comes from Baseball United's organizers, who plan to host three significant competitions in the emirate over the course of the following year.

The dual-fiber, synthetic playing field at Baseball United Ballpark, as it is currently being called while naming rights discussions are ongoing, will be built to withstand the extreme heat of Dubai.

The LED lighting system, which includes the most cutting-edge technology available to increase the ball's visibility during play, will produce over 15 million lumens across eight lighting towers and 94 fixtures in total.

Additionally, there will be enough for up to 6,500 spectators thanks to the stadium's movable, modular seating arrangement.

The field bears the name of Barry Larkin, a baseball hall of famer and one of Baseball United's founders.

The Arab Classic, which takes place this month and includes teams from the United Arab Emirates, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Nepal, will also be the venue's debut games.

Before the city has a full league season in February, a cup competition will be staged in which local talent will compete against former Major League Baseball great.
