Med42, the 70-billion parameter generative AI model, was unveiled in Abu Dhabi on Thursday

Med42 is a new open-access Clinical Large Language Model (LLM) from M42, a worldwide tech-enabled healthcare network, that aspires to elevate the idea of ethical AI in healthcare. The 70-billion parameter generative AI model was unveiled in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, and it has the potential to completely transform the healthcare industry and have a direct impact on patient outcomes.

As an AI assistant, MED42 helps medical practitioners by streamlining intricate medical enquiries and assisting in the creation of customised treatment plans based on patient medical histories. It expedites physicians' decision-making, helps chemists determine appropriate dosages, and facilitates scientists' effective evaluation of medical material. In the United States Medical Licencing Examination Sample Exam, it outperformed bigger closed models with an amazing 72 percent score.

Developed by a committed team in Abu Dhabi, MED42 was trained and refined by specialists from Core42 and Cerebras. The correctness of the model was confirmed by Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.
