Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, said on Sunday that the master plan and drawings for the Jebel Ali Beach Development Project, which aims to create the longest open public beach in Dubai, had been approved.
A two-kilometre open swimming beach, a 2.5-kilometer diving sports area, a boardwalk with viewing platforms, and service and recreational spaces for beachgoers of all ages will be present when the Jebel Ali Beach Development Project is finished.
A two-lane road in each direction, 1,000 parking spaces, 80 bicycle racks, a cycling track, and a 5-kilometer jogging track are among the integrated infrastructure features that will link the beach.
Three different areas will make up the beach. First location: the 'Pearl', which is on the right side next to Palm Jebel Ali's entrance. . This site will serve as the primary hub for beach activities and recreational opportunities, with a bustling family beach, sports facilities, a swimming pool, and kid-friendly play spaces. A floating restaurant, a number of eateries, cafés, boutiques, and a beach club with a pool and private beach will all be available at "The Pearl."
'Nest' is the third place that provides an educational and recreational destination with a combination of environmental protection and educational programmes. Located in the mangrove region, The Nest serves as a study and awareness hub for biodiversity, as well as a facility for turtle care and rehabilitation.
It was revealed on June 3 that a floating bridge will connect Al Mamzar Beach's two sides. Dubai's first pedestrian bridge of its sort will be 200 metres long. Visitor depth across a body of water is unrestricted by a floating bridge that is constructed directly over the water's surface.
The announcement was made concurrently with the awarding of contracts by Dubai's urban planning committee to develop Al Mamzar and Jumeirah 1, two of the city's most visited beachfronts. Although they are developed, the public beaches will stay largely closed. Safety precautions are going to be put in place to safeguard people in the open portions.
