Bluewaters Island, Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali, Pearl Jumeira, World Islands, and Dubai Islands are all located in Dubai. And now, plans have been made to add The Island, a 10.5-hectare island, to the city's offshore lineup. The massive project is scheduled to begin building shortly and is situated off the coast of Umm Suqeim, close to the Jumeirah public beach, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and the soon-to-open Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab.
Meed reports that China State Construction Engineering Corporation has been selected by developer Wasl to construct The Island.
According to the site, the sale is the biggest building deal in Dubai since 2017 and is believed to be worth Dhs4.4 billion. Other information disclosed is that the project would comprise properties that will house the 1,400 hotel rooms and apartments of the Las Vegas hotel brands Aria, Bellagio, and MGM, in addition to retail and dining establishments.
