Loyal commuters could win up to one million nol Plus points for their frequent use of public transport in Dubai

As part of the 14th Public Transport Day celebrations, which began on Wednesday, devoted commuters have the opportunity to earn up to one million nol Plus points for their regular use of public transport in Dubai, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). With the theme "Gym on the Go," the two-week public transportation event will take place until November 8 with the goal of "promoting public health and physical fitness of community members by encouraging them to use public transportation." The most regular users of public transport (buses, trains, metro, ships, etc.) throughout the previous five years will receive rewards from RTA, which will be given to both the general public and People of Determination.

To be eligible, participants who fit into one of the three categories must register on the RTA website, create an RTA user ID, and attach their nol card. RTA introduced Nol Plus, a loyalty and rewards programme, to Nol card members. Every time a member uses their nol card to pay for parking, taxi fees, public transport or Dubai Metro, they also accrue points and get exclusive advantages. The loyalty points that commuters accrue can be used to add funds to their Nol account or to receive discounts at certain restaurants or stores when dining out or shopping.

The 18th anniversary of RTA comes on November 1st, which also happens to be Public Transport Day. According to Al Mehrizi, it also aligns with the Dubai Fitness Challenge, which this year will take place from October 28 to November 26 and was started by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
