Liwa International Festival - Tal Moreeb 2024 returns to Liwa in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 31

Liwa International Festival (Tal Moreeb 2024) is returning to Liwa in Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra region, with back-to-back entertainment, desert adventures, overnight camping, and creative workshops for kids. Liwa Festival and Liwa Village offer visitors traditional music, real culture, and exhilarating thrills, scheduled for December 8, 2023, through December 31, 2023.

The 300-meter-tall Tal Moreeb, one of the tallest dunes in the world, is the focal point of the Liwa Festival. Every year, hundreds of motorsports fans congregate here to pursue extreme thrills on 4x4s, RVs, dune buggies, and other vehicles.

At the specially constructed Liwa Village, there are a tonne of activities and events to enjoy, including music performances and 120 food trucks serving delectable snacks. Visit creative studios, purchase locally grown goods from merchants, or peruse the artisanal souk.

At the Liwa Festival, there is also a specially constructed main stage where a revolving roster of musicians hosts musical performances throughout the day. Additionally, a new lineup of concerts is offered every weekend. For example, on December 9, dance in the desert with Bandar Bin Oweer and Ghareeb Almokhles; on December 16, groove to the music of Abdullah Al-ruwaishid and Ali Bin Mohammed; on December 23, take in the sounds of Abadi Al Johar and Mutref Al Muter. Khalid Abdulrahman, Eida Al Menhali, and Diana Haddad will perform on December 31 on New Year's Eve to end your 2023 in style.

For those who want to continue their adventure overnight, there are plenty of possibilities. Make reservations for a Bedouin-style stay in a desert tent. The traditional geometric Sadu designs, created by local craftsmen, decorate these recently added festival features.

If you decide you've had enough sand for the day, Liwa also offers luxurious, air-conditioned glamping pods that combine the finest aspects of luxury with the outdoors. There's also an 800-space RV parking lot specifically designed for families, complete with designated play areas and sports amenities.

All age groups can find much to do, see, and experience. Little ones will be thoroughly amused by play areas and activities. A football pitch, two volleyball courts, eight padel courts, and one all-purpose court are available for older children and sports enthusiasts to compete on.
