The law that specifies and regulates the weights and dimensions of heavy vehicles in the nation has been instructed to be postponed by the UAE Cabinet. The Ministry of Economy has been instructed to collaborate with all economic institutions to research and implement the required steps to prevent any unwarranted price increase, while the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has been asked to carry out a comprehensive analysis of decision rationales.

The maximum weight and size of heavy trucks allowed on federal roadways were declared earlier this year. Specification violators might face fines of up to Dh15,000.
