Labour card is important for residents and those benefiting from country's visa amnesty programme, running until October 30

The labour card is significant for citizens and those taking advantage of the nation’s visa amnesty scheme running till October 30. All employees in the United Arab Emirates must possess a labour card, which is provided by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) or the free zone where they are employed. 

This card is a crucial form of identification as well as an official document attesting to work. It includes important information including your employment title, employer, and work permit expiration date. In the United Arab Emirates, it is illegal to work without a valid labour card.

Although labour cards are no longer physically issued by the UAE, you may still download and print a copy if you'd like. A physical copy may still be useful to some people even though the digital version might appear more convenient.

How to obtain a labour card: 

- Visit the website of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, or Mohre (mohre.gov.ae).

- On the website, select "Services" at the top.

- Select "New Enquiry Services" from the menu.

- After that, you will be sent to https://inquiry.mohre.gov.ae/.

-Choose the option to "Print Electronic Work Permit" under "Choose a Service."

- Enter the necessary information, including your date of birth, person code, transaction number, and work permit number.

- Click 'Search' after you have entered all the necessary information.

- Fill in the required details.

-You will then be directed to your electronic labour card

- Select the ‘Print’ option if you need to get a physical copy.

Mohre app:

- Sign in to your Mohre app using your UAE Pass

- Tap 'Employee'

- Enter your labour card number

- The app will then show your labour card once you entered your labour card number.

- By selecting 'Print', you can have it printed.

For any questions you may have regarding your labour information, call Mohre at 600590000. You will be required to give your Emirates ID number during the conversation in order to be verified. They will provide all of your labour information over the phone after confirmation. 

As an alternative, you may view the 'Dashboard' by logging into the Mohre app. The most of your information is there, however your transaction number won't be visible. You'll need to consult your job contract to determine that.
