International Biology Olympiad; UAE set to welcome hundreds of delegates from 80 countries

News EventAt the beginning of next month, the nation will welcome hundreds of delegates from 80 different nations who will be attending the International Biology Olympiad. The 34th International Biology Olympiad, which will take place from July 2–10 at the UAE University in Al Ain, has been finalized, according to the UAE Ministry of Education. At least 320 students from 80 different nations and 300 jury members are anticipated to attend.
Four experimental tests and two theoretical tests will be given to the Olympiad competitors. The Olympiad will aid in the identification of gifted students in the field of biology from all over the world and provide them the chance to establish global collaborations in science and research. Future leaders in the biological sciences will benefit from the preparation and empowerment it will provide.
The announcement was made at a press conference held by the Ministry of Education at the UAE University in Al Ain. Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, the 34th International Biology Olympiad's president and the Assistant Undersecretary for the Care and Capacity Building Sector at the Ministry of Education, as well as Dr. Ahmed Ali Murad, the UAE University's Associate Deputy for Scientific Research, were present.
According to Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, the UAE holds a respectable place on the international stage since it has demonstrated its worth and remarkable capacity to organise significant international events with excellent success.
In addition to 200 volunteers who were trained to provide the essential organisational support for the success of the Olympiad activities, approximately 200 postgraduate students and university professors were trained to prepare, support, implement, and manage the theoretical and practical tests for the Olympiad. This selfless involvement exemplifies the genuineness of UAE society, which values civic engagement and is committed to helping the country.
Dr. Al Shamsi stated that a symposium aimed at advancing "Green Education" and methods for preparing future generations to deal with climate change will be held during the Olympiad.
