Inhabitants in UAE began the weekend to the sound of rains

In many regions of the United Arab Emirates, inhabitants began the weekend to the sound of rains unfurling. On Saturday morning, there was a lot of rain throughout the nation, from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah.

Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah followed shortly after Al Ain and Ajman reported heavy rain, thunder, and lighting.

Before 7.30 am, cloud cover and sporadic rainfall were welcomed in some parts of Dubai; but, by 7.45 am, heavy rains were occurring in numerous regions due to an increase in cloud cover.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) and the nation's early weather warning system indicate that rainy weather is expected in the United Arab Emirates this weekend.

The NCM reports that heavy rain was seen early this morning in Al Khwaneej and Umm Hurair in Dubai.

Afterwards, Dubai Investments Park, Jebel Ali, Greens, Al Furjan, Dubai Sports City, International City, Jumeirah, Al Qudra, Bur Dubai, Karama, Al Jaddaf, and across Al Khail Road were also reported to have seen significant rainfall.

An amber signal, denoting dense wet clouds, has been issued by the Met Office for Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain, and Fujairah.

Sunday is still likely to see some moderate rain, especially in the east and north. By Sunday night, both the amount of cloud cover and the amount of rain should have decreased.
