Indians holding ordinary passport and have a US green card in UK or European Union countries must first apply online to avail of a pre-approved visa-on-arrival

Indian nationals with regular passports who possess a US green card or a residence visa in the UK or the EU must apply online in advance in order to obtain a pre-approved visa-on-arrival, which allows them to enter the UAE as visitors for a 14-day stay. The Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced that the short-term visa may be extended for an additional 14 days, but only once.

For a while, UAE airports offered visas on arrival to eligible Indian travelers. The visa is normally stamped at the immigration desk after passengers get off the plane. Travelers visiting Dubai must now apply online in order to use the program.

The GRDFA also listed the prerequisites, which consist of:

1. To enter the nation, a valid passport or other travel authorization

2. A residency visa issued by the UK or other EU nations, or a permanent residence card (green card) issued by the USA.

3. Personal photo in white background

Indian travelers who qualify for the pre-approved visa-on-arrival must first sign in at https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae, the GDRFA website.

They have to register their information, complete the forms, and pay the fees (Dh253). The user receives a visa via email upon approval.

After application, a 48-hour turnaround time is anticipated.

The short-term visit visa's rules and conditions were also listed by GDRFA on its website.

1. There shouldn't be any limitations preventing the visitor from entering the United Arab Emirates.

2. The passport or travel document must be valid for at least six months.

3. The individual must possess a valid visa or green card, granted by authorized US authorities, with a minimum validity term of six months. or

4. She must possess a valid residence visa, valid for at least six months, issued by the appropriate authorities in the UK or other EU member states.

Emirates, meanwhile, stated in February of this year that some Indian passport holders who made reservations with the airline would be eligible for a pre-approved visa upon arrival.

Customers of Emirates can avoid lines when they arrive in Dubai thanks to this 14-day single entry visa that is issued. The Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), a location of VFS Global that Emirates Airline has chosen to handle UAE visas, completes the application.

"The issuance of visas remains at the absolute discretion of GDRFA," stated Emirates as well.
