India and UAE signs MoU aiming to strengthen the existing cooperation in the field of educational institutions in India and UAE

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked in Abu Dhabi by Union Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of Education, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dr. Ahmad Al Falasi.

The Ministers inked a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance current collaboration in education by promoting teacher and student mobility among other things. Through facilitating faculty and student mobility, collaborative research projects, course design, conference organisation and participation, and scientific and educational exhibitions in areas of mutual interest held in both countries, the Memorandum of Understanding seeks to strengthen the already-existing cooperation in the field of educational institutions in both countries.

Additionally, Mr. Pradhan went to 42 Abu Dhabi, a disruptive learning school. The Minister is in the UAE for three days.

In order to ease the mutual recognition of degrees between the two nations, frameworks and policies in general and higher education, including national qualifications systems, were discussed. According to a news release issued by the Ministry of Education, the MoU will support frameworks and policies in the areas of gifted and talented skill development, counselling, and well-being.

Additionally, it will make it easier for academic institutions in both nations to collaborate on joint, dual, and twinning degree programmes. Under this Memorandum of Understanding, collaboration in the area of capacity development for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) teaching personnel is planned.

It would also make it easier to form a Joint Working Group, which will be led by an Indian and UAE ministry of education official. The JWG will assess this memorandum's implementation at least once a year, on alternate years.

"India is a global talent hotspot and the UAE is a global economic hotspot. Both countries should collaborate to build a knowledge bridge to strengthen our civilizational link," Mr. Pradhan stated.

The two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to fortifying institutional frameworks and expediting procedures to facilitate seamless worker and student mobility.

In addition to discussing methods to boost student exchange programmes between India and the UAE, Mr. Pradhan expressed his thanks for the assistance provided to UAE schools that use the Indian curriculum.
