Inaugural auction conducted by RM Sothebys in Dubai of rarest cars and watches surpassed $17 million

NewsThree supercars sold for more than Dh10 million apiece at the first-ever RM Sotheby's auction in Dubai, which included the rarest automobiles and timepieces. The total auction value exceeded $17 million (Dh62 million).
One of just three 2016 Koenigsegg Agera RSRs, which sold for $3.38 million (Dh12.4 million), was the best-selling model. Driven by a 1,160 horsepower 5.0 V-8, the supercar has barely gone 993 km.
Collectors of artwork, supercars, watches, and other luxuries now flock to Dubai. In order to receive the finest prices, a lot of auction houses now use Dubai as the location for selling their rarest antiques.
With a world-record auction price of $3.211 million (Dh11.784 million), the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss was the second-highest sale. The 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé completed the top three selling list in Dubai. Aston Martin's most powerful model ever sold for $3.07 million (Dh11.266 million).
