Mosques now allow imams and muezzins to seek reserved parking spots, making it easier for people to attend prayers and show their respects.
Prerequisites that must be prepared before submitting an application for reserving permit:
- A letter from the proprietor or sponsor of the mosque, or from the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities (DIACA). To request the reservation, the letter must be sent to the Parking Administration.
- Vehicle registration and Mulkiya. Verify that you or a first- or second-degree relative is listed as the owner of the car.
Application on the RTA website:
- Open the RTA website and log in.
- 'Apply for Reserving a Parking Space for a Mosque' will appear.
- Select "Apply Now."
- 'Reserving a Parking for a Mosque' should be selected.
- Complete the fields and attach the necessary files.
- Await the text message status of your application.
- You can use the website to verify the specifics of your virtual permit once the application has been granted.
Visit Customer Satisfaction Centers:
- Deliver the necessary paperwork to the center.
- Await the SMS status of your application.
- You will receive your parking permit card upon approval.
Validity of reservation permission:
The parking reservation permit can be renewed after its initial year of validity. It makes parking at mosques reserveable, especially on busy days like Friday. For the convenience of parking, permit holders may also lend it to first- or second-degree relatives.
Terms and Conditions:
To apply, candidates must be residents of Dubai. An imam and muezzin may reserve a maximum of one parking space each. Sponsorship for private mosques must come from the developer or the mosque's sponsor. Parking spots that have previously been reserved are not covered by the permit.
