Henley Passport Index; UAE ranked 9th position in the Top 10 Most Powerful Passports in the World

In the Henley Passport Index, which was announced on Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates has once again secured a spot among the world's Top 10 Most Powerful Passports. With a score of 185 nations and territories, the nation comes in at number nine visa-free.

After adding 152 destinations since the index's creation in 2006, the UAE has moved up an impressive 53 spots, from 62nd to 9th place right now.

The original and most credible rating of all passports in the world based on the number of countries its holders may visit without a previous visa is known as the Henley Passport Index. The index is based on unique data from the International Air Transport Association (Iata), which is the largest travel database that the research team at Henley and Partners has analysed.

With its residents now having visa-free access to 195 out of 227 worldwide vacation locations, Singapore is the top-ranked country, having recovered its status as the “world’s most powerful passport” in the most recent survey.

The Henley Passport Index evaluates 199 distinct passports' visa-free entry to 227 locations. A score of 1 is generated for that passport if a visa is not needed.

This is true whether approaching the place with an electronic travel authority (ETA), visitor's pass, or visa on arrival (VOA).

A score of zero is given in cases where obtaining a government-approved electronic visa (e-Visa) before to departure is mandatory for passport holders, or if a visa is needed.
