The UAE's health insurance rates are expected to increase due to an increase in demand brought on by the implementation of a new obligatory programme that was announced on March 18. This programme requires firms to offer insurance to their staff members.
In order to maintain fair and balanced pricing, insurers will need to adjust their offers, according to industry leaders.
As of January 1, 2025, all companies in the United Arab Emirates, including those hiring domestic workers, are required to offer and cover health insurance for their staff members. When granting or renewing resident permits, employers will be responsible for their workers' health insurance premiums.
