Visitors to the Gov Games 2024 now have the opportunity to win exciting prizes, such as several automobiles. The fifth edition of the games is scheduled to begin on Thursday, and teams from all over the world will be welcomed to Dubai.
The Gov Games this year will take place in Dubai Festival City from February 29 to March 3, with competitors vying for the ultimate prize. The organisers pointed out that there are other in-the-moment activities and quizzes where viewers may compete for exciting rewards.
The next event, which will feature 194 teams across several categories, is expected to be the biggest to date. One significant change to the schedule is the establishment of the Junior Gov Games division, which is intended for competitors between the ages of 10 and 13. The goal of this new category is to instill and nurture in young people the principles of collaboration and personal growth. These youthful contestants will take part in a set of seven tasks designed to evaluate their skills in a way appropriate for their age group on the last day of the championship.
There are twenty-eight participating teams in the Battle of the Community competition, compared to eighty-four men's and twenty-eight women's teams from government organisations. Twenty-eight teams representing global cities and twenty-eight Junior Gov Games finalists compete in the Battle of the Cities. Each of these competitors will face a series of psychologically and physically taxing exercises intended to test their endurance and teamwork to the limit.
In addition, the victors will get hefty monetary awards. The top three teams in the adult divisions will split a Dh500,000 grand prize; second and third place will get Dh250,000 and Dh150,000, respectively. Junior contestants can also win prizes: Dh70,000 will be given to the winning team, Dh56,000 to the runner-up team, and Dh36,000 to the third-place team.
