Global Village celebrates UAE's 53rd national day with cultural performances, fireworks, and more

Global Village is gearing up for an extraordinary celebration of the UAE’s 53rd National Day, running from November 25 to December 4, 2024. The outdoor destination will offer an array of captivating cultural performances, stunning fireworks, drone shows, and unique dining experiences, all reflecting the nation’s unity and pride.

The entire venue will be adorned with iconic decorations and vibrant lighting displays in the colours of the UAE flag, transforming Global Village into a mesmerizing celebration space. This artistic setting will embody the spirit of the union, creating a festive atmosphere unlike any other.

From November 29 to December 3, a nightly fireworks display at 9pm will light up the sky in the UAE’s national colours. On December 2, visitors can enjoy a special drone show for a fully immersive experience.

One of the highlights will be the grand operetta, 'Hawa Emarati,' performed on the main stage from December 1 to 3. Featuring over 40 artists, the operetta will present nine visually stunning scenes, depicting an Emirati wedding set against the UAE’s formation in 1971. Traditional costumes, music, and dances will be showcased with a modern creative touch. Performances will run twice daily at 7.05pm and 9.40pm.

Visitors can also enjoy live Emirati music from bands such as Liwa and Harbiyah, adding a rich cultural rhythm to the park’s festive atmosphere.

Exclusive shopping opportunities will include National Day souvenirs available at pavilions like the UAE Pavilion, the 971 Pavilion, and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation Pavilion. Meanwhile, the Heritage Village, operated by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre, will exhibit authentic Emirati handicrafts, offering guests a chance to connect with the UAE’s rich cultural traditions.
