Global Prompt Engineering Championship - the largest challenge of its kind, will be organised in May 2024, to leverage the power of Generative AI

The Global Prompt Engineering Championship will take place in May 2024, according to directives from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF). With a Dh1 million grand prize, the competition is the biggest challenge of its type to use generative AI. The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and DFF will collaborate to host the competition.

Three primary categories will be included at the international event, which will take place at the Museum of the Future: literature, art, and code. The competition intends to enhance Dubai's and the UAE's standing as a hub for the development of a new wave of inventions related to rapid engineering as well as a destination for Generative AI talent and entrepreneurs.

Sheikh Hamdan underlined that the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai, serves as the inspiration for Dubai's proactive approach. This strategy seeks to promote innovative technologies in the digital sphere and quicken the process of digital transformation.

Dubai does this by establishing an integrated digital infrastructure that supports and gives programmers, business owners, and startups the tools they need to influence the future and provide answers to the world's problems.

There will be two days of the challenge. The first day's main objective is to choose the top 30 quick engineering programmers who will go on to the second day's final round. After that, programmers will be split up into five groups and compete in three different categories: coding, literature, and art. A specialist committee will assess completed projects according to three criteria: accuracy, speed, and quality. A total of Dh1 million will be awarded to the winners in each of the three categories.
