GEMS Education to open the net-zero energy campus - GEMS Founders School in Abu Dhabi in September 2024

GEMS Founders School in Abu Dhabi is scheduled to open in September 2024, adding to GEMS Education's expanding network of educational institutions in the United Arab Emirates. With sustainability at its heart, it will be a ground-breaking net-zero energy campus.

The school was purpose-built using state-of-the-art materials and technology and clever architectural elements to significantly reduce its carbon footprint, conserve resources, and minimise waste. It is located in the centre of Abu Dhabi's Masdar City, the world's first zero-carbon, zero-waste, car-free city.

GFA is the first Founders school in Abu Dhabi and the third overall for GEMS in the UAE, with 43 schools altogether. It offers the British Curriculum to pupils ranging from FS1 to Year 8.
