During the month of Ramadan, the UAE's Ministry of Education has set aside Fridays as a day for public school pupils to participate in distant learning. Students whose exam schedules have been authorized for Fridays during the holy month are exempt from this. On the other hand, if parents can arrange for transportation to and from school, they will have the choice to send their kids to school on Fridays. Students will be supervised by the teaching staff, who will also make sure that their regular school schedule is maintained.
The news coincides with the Ministry's "Ramadan with the Family" campaign launch. The program supports the goal of the UAE leadership to instill in young people the ideals of the holy month by fostering an inspiring family and community environment throughout Ramadan.
During Ramadan, teaching staff will still go to school on Fridays as normal. Students will be supervised by the teaching staff, who will also make sure that their regular school schedule is maintained.
