DUBAI
According to an announcement made by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, all public parking will be free of charge from Thursday December 1 to Saturday December 3. The rule will not apply to multi-level parking terminals. Revised service timing applies to customer happiness centres and paid parking zones. Parking in Dubai on Sunday is already free, due to the new revised weekends.
The RTA also announced revised service timings for public buses, Dubai Metro and tram.
Dubai Metro, tram
The Metro's Red and Green lines will be operational from 5am to 1am. On December 4, from November 30 to December 3, with both lines operational from 8am to 12am (midnight).
SHARJAH
The Sharjah Municipality has announced free public parking in most areas of the emirate from Thursday, December 1, till Saturday, December 3, being the second Emirate to annouce free parking after Dubai. The gesture is in celebration of the 51st UAE National Day. Public parking will be free, except for the 7-day paid parking zones, which are marked with blue information signs.
The Sharjah National Day Celebrations Committee announced its program of activities to celebrate the National Day. Events have been taking place across Sharjah's cities and key tourist and cultural destinations from November 24 and will continue until December 3.

The celebrations will be held on Flag Island, Al Majaz Amphitheatre, Sharjah National Park, Maliha Public Park, Al Hisn Island and Al Kharous in Dibba Al Hisn, Khorfakkan Amphitheater, Wadi Al Helo and various areas of Kalba, parks and residential areas in Al Bataeh, various areas of Al Madam, Al Dhaid Fort, and the Heritage Village in Al Hamriyah.
ABUDHABI
Abudhabi comes third in line of Emirates that have announced free parking during Natonal day holidays. Residents in Abu Dhabi can enjoy three days of free parking from Thursday, December 1 to Monday, December 5, 2022 according to authorities. Parking is free on Sundays in the Capital since the implementation of new weekends in the country.
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday said parking spaces and Darb toll gates will be free of charge during the National Day holiday starting from Thursday, December 1, to 7.59am on Monday, December 5.
The ITC has urged the public to adhere to Mawaqif regulations and not to park their vehicles in prohibited areas or block the traffic flow. Motorists have also been reminded to adhere to Mawaqif regulations regarding resident parking from 9pm to 8am to avoid being fined.
The fine for parking in residents-only parking spaces is Dh200 and the car is towed four hours after the ticket has been issued.
