Free of cost entry visas to Indonesia for 20 countries, including India, US, UK, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar

In an attempt to increase tourism and have a multiplier impact on the economy, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has suggested giving free entrance permits to visitors from 20 different nations, according to state news agency (ANTARA).

"The ministry suggested 20 nations with the most foreign visitors, excluding those who currently have visa exemptions," Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno stated on Thursday in Jakarta.

Australia, China, India, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Japan, Russia, Taiwan, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, and two Middle Eastern nations whose names were withheld are among the twenty countries.

According to Uno, offering free entrance visas to the 20 nations is anticipated to increase the number of international visitors, which will have a multiplier effect that will enhance local spending, draw in investment, and contribute in the growth of the digital economy.
