Free buses are available for worshippers traveling to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, according to Abu Dhabi Mobility.
The Department of Municipalities and Transport affiliate Abu Dhabi Mobility, the Integrated Transport Center, announced on Thursday that it will run ten complimentary buses between the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Bus Interchange in the Al Rabdan region, guaranteeing convenient and secure transportation during the holy month.
In the final ten days of Ramadan, the initiative aims to improve traffic flow and guarantee smooth mobility near the mosque, particularly during Taraweeh and late-night prayers.
Digital security cameras will monitor the roads around the Grand Mosque and crossings with traffic signals. This seeks to identify any emergencies or traffic jams and facilitate a prompt reaction, guaranteeing a safe and efficient flow of traffic.
Abu Dhabi Mobility has also installed mobile electronic signs to help guests find parking spaces with ease. Additionally, directional messages have been activated on fixed electronic variable message signs (VMS) surrounding the mosque to warn drivers and direct them to the most efficient routes.
To accommodate the needs of guests at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi Mobility has announced that 100 cabs would be available each day during the holy month of Ramadan. In order to meet the increasing demand over the final ten days of the month, more cabs will be available.
