Fourth edition WeWalk walkathon to be hosted on November 18; tickets available for purchase

The fourth edition WeWalk walkathon hosted by TECOM Group PJSC in collaboration with Dubai Autism Centre (DAC) is here and tickets are now available for purchase. WeWalk 2023 aims to raise money and awareness for kids with autism.

The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that one in every 36 children has autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a developmental disability. Additionally, the Ministry of Community Development of the United Arab Emirates recorded approximately 4,500 instances of autism in 2022. The goal of DAC is to empower children with autism via education and treatments, and all revenues from this event will go towards this goal. The 2022 event attracted a large number of attendees and generated Dhs700,000 in donations for the UAE Rare Disease Society.

On Saturday, November 18, the event will be held in Dubai Science Park. Runners, joggers, and walkers may enrol in the 3.5km course.

The Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department, the Dubai Sports Council, Telecom Partner du, Gold Partners BeiGene, Al Ain Water, and Skechers, Media Partners Khaleej Times and Channel 4, Emerald Partners Mediclinic, Biologix, and Medtronic, and Medical Support Partner Response Plus Medical are all supporting WeWalk 2023. In addition, Patchi and Rubicon Exotic are working together to promote WeWalk 2023.
