The Dubai Government Human Resources Department said on Wednesday that during the holy month of Ramadan, government workers will have the option to work remotely and with flexible hours.
Government agencies have been ordered to give workers three hours of flexible work every day, as long as they put in five and a half hours of labor Monday through Thursday.
Employees in the public sector are not eligible for flexible work on Fridays unless they work three hours.
Additionally, depending on the needs, working conditions, and duties allotted to them, employees are permitted to work remotely for the equivalent of two days every week.
The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has given the order for this.
