Fifth edition  of Abu Dhabi International Boat Show was hosted at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre Marina and Canal Hall

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre Marina and Canal Hall hosted the opening of the fifth edition the largest-ever Abu Dhabi International Boat Show. Over 700 firms specialising in the production of boats, yachts, fishing gear, and water sports are taking part in the four-day event, sponsored by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region.

There were 711 participating brands and exhibiting enterprises, which is a 30% increase from the previous year. As for the participating nations, they increased to 50 from 41 during the previous session. Ten countries are participating in the exhibition for the first time, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Norway, Belgium, Lithuania, Indonesia, Cyprus, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.

At a 55 percent rise during the same period, the exhibition's overall size grew to 65,000 square metres. In the current session, the percentage of national enterprises participating climbed to 70%, accounting for almost 91% of the worldwide brands present at the expo. In the Middle East, there will be a 40% rise in the quantity of newly launched yachts and boats, totaling 15 vessels from 13 different nations.

The CEO of Capital Events, an ADNEC Group company that organises the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, Darren Johnson, emphasised that all show-related metrics had shown good growth rates.

Families and tourists may enjoy twelve cultural and entertainment events, such as competitions, seminars, virtual reality dives, and underwater life simulations.

A sustainability platform has been introduced at the expo in conjunction with the "Year of Sustainability," and 28 international organisations and businesses from 14 countries are taking part. Twenty multinational corporations from eleven different nations are featured on an innovation platform.

The Abu Dhabi Marine Awards have also been announced, and among other things, a new Guinness World Record for the biggest boat ever constructed using three-dimensional printing technology has been created. The public could view the exhibition from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 p.m. on Sunday.
