NewsThe Dalma Race Festival will run from April 28 to May 15 and will include free ferry service between Dalma Island and Jebel Dhanna, the Abu Dhabi Maritime said on Tuesday.
More than 3,000 sailors will compete in a historic 60-foot traditional dhow race over 80 nautical miles (125 km) throughout the 18-day Dalma Race Festival, which is sponsored by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region. There will also be a variety of events conducted for guests, particularly families.
For the duration of the festival, guests may ride the Dalma Island/Jebel Dhanna ferry free of charge in both directions thanks to Abu Dhabi Maritime, a division of AD Ports Group.
During the festival time, a second evening service will also be organised so that locals and guests can continue to enjoy celebrations.
Through the recently developed online booking platform accessible on www.admaritime.ae, all visitors and locals will be able to check times and reserve their tickets without charge.
