eVTOL - innovative mode of transport could offer travellers an alternative to navigating road congestion

The ultra-rich may soon have the opportunity to enjoy a staycation at hotels in Ras Al Khaimah by eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing). This is also in line with the emirate's goal of turning Al Marjan Island into a highly sought-after vacation and investment destination, with many choosing it for its opulence and relaxation. This cutting-edge form of transportation may then present a substitute for negotiating traffic, enabling visitors to drastically cut down on trip time by selecting a smaller, quieter, more intelligent, electric car.

A vertiport is set to be created at the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Airport thanks to a collaborative partnership previously announced by VPorts, a leader in the design, building, and management of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure.

Situated on a 10,000-square-meter plot, the RAK vertiport is intended to accommodate all varieties of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This is intended to facilitate the expansion of RAK's economy and tourist industry as well as hasten the acceptance and implementation of cutting-edge air transportation across the United Arab Emirates.
