Etihad Rail operated its first rail journey that connects Abu Dhabi and Al Dhannah on Thursday

On Thursday, Etihad Rail ran the inaugural train service between Abu Dhabi and Al Dhannah. The inaugural train service between Abu Dhabi and Al Dhannah was run by Etihad Rail on Thursday.

The proposed rail service would allow employees and contractors of ADNOC to commute between the two locations once it is operational.

Members of the Executive Leadership team of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), including Managing Director and Group CEO Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, made this historic journey.

With sulphur products already being transported by rail between Shah and Habshan to the export point at Al Ruwais Industrial City, the rail passenger service is an extension of the close strategic partnership between Adnoc and Etihad Rail, allowing Adnoc Sour Gas to be a leading global sulphur producer.
