Etihad Airways’s inaugural flight, EY476, landed in Denpasar, Bali, for the first time, marking the launch of regular services between Abu Dhabi and the island destination. This inaugural flight to Bali was celebrated at Zayed International Airport before take-off on Tuesday evening, the airline said in a statement on Wednesday.
The aircraft was greeted with a customary water cannon salute upon its arrival in Denpasar. To commemorate the beginning of the nonstop link, Etihad's captains waved the flags of the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia from the cockpit.
The new service departs four times each week using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner equipped with the airline's Business Studios and Economy Smart seats, the new service departs four times each week.
Antalya, Nice, and Santorini are the airline's three new seasonal summer destinations which it had announced earlier this month. It goes back to Mykonos and Malaga as well.
