Etihad Airways' pilot training programme for UAE citizens have returned after four years. The airline's UAE National Cadet Pilot Programme is accessible to applicants with a high school diploma who are between the ages of 17 and 28 and aims to develop the next generation of Emirati pilots. No prior experience is necessary, making the plan available to a bigger talent pool.
The choice to bring back the cadet programme was made after a careful analysis of the post-COVID needs of the industry, especially in light of the quickly changing aviation scene.
The programme's objectives include teaching cadets technical flying skills as well as preparing them for a career as professional pilots.
Concurrent with the declaration of the programme's revival, Etihad Airways organised a graduation ceremony for those whose schooling was disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
