The UAE national airline, Etihad Airways, announced that it is officially the official sponsor of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), on Thursday. The 'unveiling ceremony' took place at Kalaivanar Arangam, where team representatives and CSK players joined Etihad cabin workers on stage donning their new jerseys with the airline's emblem displayed on the back.
Following Etihad's appointment of Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif as its brand ambassador, which combined cricket with beauty, the two companies have now partnered with CSK.
Etihad connects Indian travellers to over 70 destinations globally with a total of 165 weekly flights to ten Indian cities. The airline has raised the number of daily flights from two to four from Delhi and Mumbai, and it also added two additional routes to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.
