Enormous piece of stunning public art has been unveiled in Hatta ahead of UAE National Day festivities

In Hatta, a huge work of breathtaking public art has been displayed in advance of the UAE National Day long weekend festivities. On the slope of the Hatta Dam Water Falls, the enormous 2,198.7 square meter mural replicates a historical portrait of the UAE's founding fathers.

Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan are shown smiling together in the mosaic artwork, which was created using more than 1.2 million pieces of marble.

The mural honors the heritage of the UAE's historical leaders and replaces an earlier mural in the same spot.

Another noteworthy record for Dubai to add to the list is that it has been formally recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest mosaic artwork in the world.

The enormous artwork with the Hajar mountains in the background took more than four months to complete.

The mosaic's color palette, which was created using creative techniques, is influenced by the founding fathers' traditional clothing, giving the piece emotional and historical significance.

The piece is a part of the most recent iteration of the Dubai Street Museum, which was established in 2016 with the goal of showcasing the emirate's distinct history, values, and goals.

DEWA and Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Media Office, collaborated to create the Hatta piece.
