Eid Al Adha holidays announced for private sector in Dubai

The private sector will observe Eid Al Adha on Saturday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 18, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (Mohre).

According to the Hijri calendar, Arafah Day, the holiest day in Islam, is celebrated with one paid holiday on Dhul Hijjah 9. The Gregorian calendar date for this is Saturday, June 15.

Eid Al Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, is celebrated from Dhul Hijjah 10 to 12 (June 16 to 18 in the Gregorian calendar), and is celebrated with three days off.

The public sector workforce will observe holidays on the same days.

On Friday, June 7, photos were taken from Abu Dhabi of the crescent of the month of Dhul Hijjah 1445.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced on Sunday that all private schools, colleges, and daycare centres in Dubai will be closed for Eid Al Adha from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18. They will reopen on Wednesday, June 19.
