In order to provide quick and easy transportation throughout some of Dubai's busiest districts, the RTA has started a bus pooling program.
The project will run without set routes and can accommodate up to 30 people at once in contrast to ordinary buses. By doing away with the need for private vehicles like taxis, it should improve traffic flow on the city's roadways.
Three smart apps—Citylink Shuttle, DrivenBus, and Fluxx Daily—will have a booking mechanism that allows passengers to share minibus journeys.
At the beginning, the service will only go from Deira to major business areas like Business Bay, Dubai Mall, Dubai Festival City, and Mirdif. You can therefore book a minibus at a discounted rate if you have a regular commute.
Each business will use their applications to run 20 busses. Based on the distance traveled and the demand for each service, fares will be dynamic and competitive. You will be able to plan weekly and monthly subscriptions in addition to individual journeys.
