Two new Salik gates will be added to Dubai roads this weekend, with operations starting on Sunday, November 24, 2024, Salik PSJC has confirmed. The Business Bay Crossing toll gate on Al Khail Road and the Al Safa South Toll Gate on Sheikh Zayed Road will begin charging motorists from this date.
First announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on January 19, the toll gates will require drivers to pay to pass through these additional points. The Business Bay Crossing gate is located on Al Khail Road, while the Al Safa South Gate covers Sheikh Zayed Road between Al Meydan and Umm Al Sheif Streets.
As a benefit to drivers, those crossing both Safa Gates (north and south) within one hour will only be charged once, similar to the system currently in place for the Al Mamzar gates.
The toll fee remains Dhs4 for every pass through a Salik toll gate.
