Dubai to host an RTA auction on December 28; 90 exclusive car number plates, including super plates

On Saturday, December 28, Dubai will hold an RTA auction where you may purchase 90 unique license plates, including the coveted "super plates."

Iconic numbers like AA 21 and BB 55 will be up for grabs at the event, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), which promises collectors and enthusiasts an exciting opportunity.

Beginning at 4:30 p.m., the auction will be held at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel. The RTA website, the Dubai Drive app, or the company's Customer Happiness Centers in Umm Al Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha are the places where bidders are invited to pre-register in advance. Priority will be granted to those who register in early due to the auction's limited capacity.

On the day of the event, on-site registration will open at 2:00 pm for those who intend to participate. Requirements for participation include a non-refundable participation fee of Dhs120, a refundable security deposit of Dhs25,000, and a 5 percent VAT.

Credit card payments can be made through the Dubai Drive app or the RTA's website.

Every bidder must also have a current Dubai traffic file.

The auction offers a unique opportunity to acquire classic numbers that are sought after by collectors and owners of luxury vehicles, with a variety of two- to five-digit license plates up for sale.
