The Dubai Taxi Company recently announced the acquisition of 250 additional license plates designated exclusively for electric vehicles within its fleet. This step aligns with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmental initiatives. Once implemented, 87 percent of the company's entire fleet will consist of environmentally-friendly vehicles.
With the addition of these electric vehicle license plates, the total fleet size will rise to 6,210 taxis. This expansion supports the company’s strategic efforts to reduce emissions and enhance sustainable transportation options throughout Dubai, contributing to the broader goals of national sustainability.
The company also projected that this expansion will boost annual revenues by approximately Dh85 million. This development not only increases revenue potential but also underscores Dubai Taxi Company’s dedication to investing in green technology as part of its long-term business strategy.
