The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai named Metro cab business the finest cab business in the city. The RTA also recognised 200 cab drivers at a ceremony commemorating the cab Sector Excellence Award. The RTA hosts this award to recognise the finest performance during significant events in Dubai.
Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of Public Transport Agency, Sultan Ibrahim Al Akraf, Director of Drivers Affairs, Public Transport Agency, and Head of the Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of RTA's Taxi Excellence Award, as well as various directors and representatives from taxi companies, attended the ceremony.
The goal of this award is to improve customer service during large-scale events in Dubai. It aims to create a competitive atmosphere among businesses in order to improve traffic safety and awareness while also increasing consumer satisfaction. The award also seeks to motivate drivers to strive for excellence, uphold the highest quality standards, and show leadership in service delivery. The RTA has established specific criteria for selecting the outstanding company during key events held in the emirate, such as the lowest number of complaints, the highest rating given by drivers for trips, the lowest rate of quality violations, and the highest number of trips conducted by two-shift vehicles. The top 200 drivers with the best trip ratings and the fewest complaints were chosen.
The honoured firms and drivers expressed their thanks and excitement in response to this gesture, which underlines RTA's commitment to its taxi industry partners. They emphasised their joint goal of guaranteeing client happiness while adhering strictly to RTA regulations and traffic laws. The RTA applauds the fierce rivalry among Dubai's taxi businesses, as well as the significant efforts put out by all organisations.
