Dubai RTA said on Monday that four new metro connection bus routes have been introduced.
Starting on August 30, the four new routes will be in use; two of them, F39 and F40, will take the place of Route 31. Route F56 will be replaced by Routes F58 and F59.
The routes will function as follows:
Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1 and return is the destination of the first new route, F39.
The second new route, F40, will run between the Etisalat Bus Station and Street 78 in Mirdif, then return.
Route F58 will go northward from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City and back
Route F59 from the metro station in Dubai Internet City north to Dubai Knowledge Village and back.
Additional route modifications:
1. Route 21 will become Route 21A and Route 21B, with a new name.
Starting from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1, Route 21A will travel to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station.
From Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1, Route 21B will travel in the other way.
2. Route 66 and Route 61D will combine.
3. Route 95A and Route 95 will combine.
Users of Route 95 will be able to connect to Route X92. In order to cover the Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Route 95A will also be rerouted to begin at Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, and end at Parco Hypermarket.
4. Route 6 will now only go from the Bus Stop at Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City.
5. JAFZA One will be covered by a modified Route 99.
6. New stations in The Greens will be added to Route F31.
7. Additional stations for Route F45 will be incorporated in Al Furjan.
8. JAFFZA Route F54 will have one stop eliminated.
9. The intercity route E700 to Fujairah will now originate at Etisalat Bus Station.
10. RTA's Public Transport Agency will also improve 35 bus routes: Routes 6, 20B, 26, 36A, 36B, 50, 66, 83, 88, 95A, 96, 99, 320, C01, C09, C10, F03, F05, F07, F10, F18, F23, F23A, F24, F31, F45, F46, F47, F49, F53, F54, SM1, X02, X25, and X92.
