The Metro's running hours have been extended by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) from 5 a.m. on Saturday, November 16 to 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 17.
In order to accommodate those who will be attending the Emirates Loves India Day event, the timings have been extended.
On Saturday, November 16, a large celebration will take place at Zabeel Park in Dubai as the UAE joins the Indian community in celebrating the Festival of Lights, or "Diwali."
Expected to draw 40,000 people, the festivities will highlight the richness of Indian culture with a wide range of artistic, musical, folkloric, and cultural events, including a special section celebrating the exceptional accomplishments of Indians in the United Arab Emirates.
The harmony and diversity of Indian art, culture, and folklore will be on display.
Indie rock band Avial, Jonita Gandhi, and Badshah are scheduled to perform at free events.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 11 p.m.
Additionally, RTA said that parking spaces would be accessible in the vicinity of Zabeel Park on Saturday, November 16 from 11 to 12 a.m.
Free shuttle buses will also be offered to and from the event site from the parking areas at Boom Village and Al Wasl Football Club.
