Dubai's RTA has completed traffic improvements on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road, travel time reduced to more than 50%

The traffic on E311 (Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road) has been improved by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, resulting in a more than 50% reduction in travel time.

There has been a 50% increase in the capacity of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road exit to Al Rebat Street, from 3,000 to 4,500 cars per hour. Additionally, it reduces travel time by 60% from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to Rabat Street in the direction of Business Bay Crossing, from 10 minutes to 4 minutes.

The 600-meter extension of Exit 55, which leads to Al Rebat Street, includes the addition of a new lane and an increase in the distance where traffic overlaps. This increases the total number of lanes to three.

One of RTA's 2024 enhancement projects, which will include 45 places around Dubai, is the traffic extension on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road exit to Al Rebat Street. By promoting sustainable growth and improving citizens' happiness and well-being, these developments help Dubai maintain its top spot among cities to live in.
