In the face of unpredictable weather, bus passengers in the UAE are encouraged to check on the status of services to their destinations. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai declared on Friday that many of its intercity bus lines will be suspended.
It stated in a warning that it will not be operating its public bus routes E411 to Ajman and E315 from Dubai to Sharjah "until further notice".
In some regions of the nation, today's deluge has caused traffic to stop completely as a result of several highways being filled with water. Even the busy Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai was impacted. A section of the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road that was flooded was also noted to those travelling to Sharjah.
