Dubais Al Khail Road has been widened at two locations; will ease traffic congestion by 25 per cent

Two spots on Dubai's Al Khail Road have been enlarged, which has reduced traffic congestion by up to 25%. According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Business Bay and Al Jaddaf were the locations of the widening projects. 

To improve traffic flow towards Deira, a new lane has been constructed in Al Jaddaf. Additionally, the highway has been enlarged at Business Bay's entrance.

"Al Khail Road is a vital traffic corridor in Dubai," stated Hamad Al Shehhi, director of roads at the Traffic and Roads Agency. By constructing an additional lane near Al Jaddaf, the RTA increased the number of lanes to six and increased the capacity of the route by roughly 2,000 vehicles per hour, resulting in a 25% decrease in traffic.
