Sheikh Zayed Road, the major thoroughfare in Dubai, will be closed this weekend. Drivers will not be able to access the major highway for the second time this month. The road closure is being made on account of the Dubai Run on Sunday, November 26. Both professional and amateur runners compete in the yearly event, which is presented by Dubai Fitness Challenge, along the well-known route.
The metro will be running on the day from 3.30 am onwards as the race begins at 6.30 am. The public transport link will continue to shuttle patrons up and down the road, so if you need to travel to the area to participate (or for another purpose), you may board Dubai Metro.
Those interested still have time to register, and all the necessary information is available here. More details on dubai run.
The Museum of the Future serves as the beginning point for both the 5k and 10k routes, which are available to you.
The 5k course concludes close to Dubai Mall after passing the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera. All ages and skill levels of runners may tackle this flat course.
The 10k course is best suited for runners with greater expertise. It heads towards the Trade Centre after following Sheikh Zayed Road to the Dubai Canal, and it ends on Al Mustaqbal Street close to DIFC.
