In a few years, inhabitants of Dubai will be able to use air taxis throughout the city; how much will it cost? Khaleej Times has learned that each passenger will pay Dh350. An early look at the flying taxi, which is anticipated to launch in Dubai by the end of 2025, was provided to Khaleej Times by the US-based aviation company Joby.
Flying taxis provide passengers amazing aerial views of the city, but they're also a useful option for people who want to bypass heavy traffic. These planes may reduce flight times between two locations in Dubai by about seventy percent, according to Bonny Simi, president of operations at Joby.
Four people can sit on this futuristic vehicle, including the pilot. There's also plenty of room for storing luggage. The aircraft will be flying at a height of 500 to 1,000 meters, so that passengers can expect a quiet, beautiful journey with noise levels of only 45 decibels.
Following a six- to eight-week training program specifically designed for the aircraft, a pilot with a commercial license will be operating the aircraft. Through an app that Joby will develop, passengers will be able to schedule their air taxi rides. Additionally, they will be able to book an Uber ride. The air taxi will be ready to go even with just one person aboard.
