Dubai experienced a considerable improvement, moving up 15 ranks in the index from its prior ranking of 29 in the world in 2021.According to the Australian To Think Now Foundation, which specialises in research and studies relating to innovation, Dubai ranks first among cities in the Middle East and North Africa and fourteenth worldwide in the Innovative Cities Index for the year 2023.
On Wednesday, the Dubai Media office tweeted about the rankings.
With a difference of just eight points from Tokyo, which claimed the top spot on the ranking, Dubai's balance on the index amounted to 52 out of 60 points.
Like Dubai, Berlin, Chicago, and Stockholm also hit 52.
Tokyo in Japan, London in the UK, New York in the US, Paris in France, Singapore in south-east Asia, Los Angeles in California, Boston in the US, Seoul in South Korea, San Francisco in the US, and Houston in the US, respectively, rounded out the top ten cities on the index this year.
Dubai surpassed global cities including Toronto, Munich, Vienna, Sydney, Madrid, Amsterdam, Seattle, Dallas-Fort Worth, Melbourne, Montreal, Atlanta, Barcelona, Milan, Beijing, Vancouver, Copenhagen, Miami, and Washington, D.C., which were placed 15th to 32nd, respectively, in the survey.
