Residents in Dubai can now handle all domestic worker visa services — including applying for, renewing, and canceling residence permits — exclusively through the "Dubai Now" app, authorities announced on Wednesday.
This shift streamlines processes by reducing service channels from four to one, cutting required steps from 12 to four, and slashing processing time from 30 days to five. Document requirements are down to four, saving residents Dh400 per transaction.
To apply, users must:
- Fill out a unified service package form in the app, entering worker and passport details.
- Sign the employment contract electronically.
- Ensure the worker undergoes a medical examination, with results submitted via the app.
- Receive the worker’s ID and residency permits.
This update is part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) Work Bundle initiative, marking the rollout of its third phase. Earlier phases enhanced processes for companies and millions of workers across the UAE.
