Dubai Mall will introduce paid parking in cooperation with Salik Company from July 1

Dubai Mall announced on Wednesday that it will implement paid parking in collaboration with Salik Company beginning July 1. The new paid parking system at Dubai Mall applies to Grand Parking, Cinema Parking, and Fashion Parking, while Zabeel and Fountain Views parking areas remain free.
On weekdays, cars will receive free parking for the first four hours before being charged between Dh20 and Dh1,000 for parking. During the weekend, the first six hours are free, after which they will be charged per hour.
Here's how much motorists will pay for parking at Dubai Mall:
Weekdays:
- 0-4 hours - Free
- 4-5 hours - Dh20
- 5-6 hours - Dh60
- 6-7 hours - Dh80
- 7-8 hours - Dh100
- 8 hours - Dh200
- 12 hours - Dh500
- 24 hours - Dh1,000
Weekends:
- 0-4 hours - Free
- 4-5 hours - Free
- 5-6 hours - Free
- 6-7 hours - Dh80
- 7-8 hours - Dh100
- 8 hours - 200
- 12 hours - 500
- 24 hours - Dh1,000
Salik launched a partnership with Emaar Malls on Friday, promising to "deliver a seamless and efficient parking management system at Dubai Mall." According to the conditions of the deal, Salik's technology will be used to provide a smooth, barrier-free parking experience for mall guests."
It stated that the paid parking system will be implemented to improve parking availability and make shopping at the mall more convenient and efficient for all guests. The implementation of paid parking is intended to free up spaces, allowing guests to find parking more quickly and easily.
Vehicle plate recognition will be used to automatically collect fees for ticketless parking.
The barrier-free parking system will use the same automatic number plate recognition and radio frequency identification (RFID) technology as Salik's tracking tags.
As the vehicle enters the parking lot, a camera will record the entry time as well as the plate number. At the exit, the camera will scan the plate number again, and the system will calculate the parking time.
